After spending about a year with two other people, we found that the core products had not changed in fact. It’s exactly the same as two weekends in free time. However, if twoorthree people commercialize the solution in a year or so, they will realize that there is a huge imbalance between the time required for developers, especially for open source ecosystems such as WordPress, to build products. Compare with the commercial part of things. This is how we basically set about freemius, which is an e-commerce platform, especially for plug-ins and theme sales. Our task is to democratize software. Profitability. As a part of our platform, we provide the whole stack business aspects of the required business components from the lower levels of payment, subscription, software license, etc. We compared it with the Internet, and compared it with more advanced things related to marketing and marketing automation, cooperation platforms, etc. Therefore, by default, you can get a one-stop shopping solution from which you can get the code of plug-ins or theme rabbits. Dv: very good. How do three people compare how long it takes to build a system to sell and distribute software made over the weekend or a few weeks? Um. As you know, many people create good software and then stumble in the next step related to revenue creation and distribution for all the types of reasons you list. So obviously, you are really close to this in many ways. As you should think, at the same high level as the models that will and will not work as freemium support. What is the general business model that the plug-in business follows? In other words, how do authors use your platform or usually charge for software? The
VF: Yes. So as we see it, I think it took time to define the term. However, there are business models and code architectures. Many people confuse the two in terms of business models. There are two or three options to choose from. One of them is not a real business model, but a free product? So that’s an option. The other two, as you know, are commonly used, but freemius is a paid product or premium product. Therefore, you need to pay for the product. And our option is freemium. That is, if you offer a free product and someone needs additional features, you can find more. Now, we are moving to an architecture similar to the traditional sales method. Add plug-ins or themes from our ecosystem to the sales plan. You can buy more professional versions or sell other features. It’s like buying a pro feature, but buying a small, small add-on login. Many developers sell bundles, such as feature sets or add-on features, at the same price. This is the most common thing we see. Obviously, the plug-in is basically a floating service within the plug-in, which brings experience to word press. It is called by community services and simplifies the life of administrators. The business model is similar to SAS. And although today more and more companies are selling subscriptions to observe ecosystems, such as SAS

Male DV: May I ask questions now? When considering licensing, I often think about software licensing as if I had a GPL license in my code. So you’re talking about distribution. Right? Let me do it. I want to plug-ins and other discounts. You will then receive automatic updates and support. When people sell automatic updates and support in this way, I think it’s a fixture. You can then use these features in freemius and other tools in the GPL software that disable them. In addition, Sassi can be built in the software context. This is open source for those who are disabling functionality but follow this pattern. Really? VF: completely correct. I mean, because we’re in WordPress space. All plug-ins and themes must be GPL by definition. Therefore, as most users know about software licenses, the list seen in the market is 100%gpl, especially the products that use the operator permission repository. For example, if you want to use the free version of the colleague permission, 8 products must be 100%gpl, and 2 products are still part of the GPL. But that’s an extra request from the WordPress authorities. Therefore, the license is a GPL. But when we talk about you, when we talk about licensing within the scope of plug-ins and topics, we usually talk about software licensing, exactly what you mentioned. Dv: I see. Excellent. Excellent. Thank you for your point So, as we mentioned before the second time, I think the three main options you provide to people in this context are, after all, requests. We are freemius EDD blue. Are there any other methods that people take? Are they like hand coding systems? Or, what options do you offer people and mention in this way the various other companies that have platforms, but beyond that, what are the options? VF: of course. Therefore, the free license I mentioned is the focus of the license, but there are other solutions. Therefore, we classify selective solutions into three categories. The first is your own hosting solution, which is a plug-in or theme installed on your own server. You need to maintain the e-commerce platform belonging to the category of woocommerce. In fact, there are the most popular pocket monitors. This is a fair option. So we have designed that experience in a very familiar way. Yes, and I think I can get a lot there. According to our data, the average patronage rate of new users who install your product is about 55-60%. As a result, 55 to 60 per cent of users may be affected. This is a huge number compared with the blind. DV: it is very important to create high-quality products. It is speculated that vf: in order to make a high-quality product for making mailing lists, even if it is a free product at present, it will also want to promote the charging function to the user. If you don’t do that, you’re right. Even with onemillion active installations. You still start from scratch. DV: there is no intelligence to provide information for the product roadmap, so it needs to enter the current market. You don’t have the influence of the base to do it. Good summary, vf: right?
