Today, we are glad to announce that PROSPRESS will join Automattic to work closely with WooCommerce to create a more unified subscription experience. We will also support the continuous development of other products of PROSPRESS.
Existing users will not change any change . Now, we are joining, welcomed and integrated. We will then start cooperating to formulate future roadmaps.

Austin’s WOOCONF 2016 stage.

Well, this must be suitable for everyone of Woocommerce.
Is propress exciting? Yes! I have never established Prospress for the acquisition, but the more we start talking about the future of Automattic, the more meaningful it will be My imagination.
What do you think of WooCommerce subscription mean?
In the short term, the change was not much. The same team will develop and support the same code library. From the long run, I am glad to explore how to combine subscriptions with the unique resources of Automattic to create a world -class product that all of us work in the same team.
more specificIn other words, this may mean a closer relationship with how to handle payment or integrate with other platforms (such as WordPress.com). There are still some problems in Woocommerce and subscriptions to be solved to help them better expand. Interestingly, these two code libraries are almost the same. Through more close cooperation than ever, I hope we can better implement solutions in a shorter time. I am very confident. We can realize the dream of each MBA, that is, a synergy between subscriptions and existing automattic resources, so as to provide everyone with more value.
As the founder of PROSPRESS, what does this acquisition mean for you?
I am very proud of the achievements I have achieved in PROSPRESS. Over the years, I am glad to have some amazing people to join my ranks. I believe that we have pushed a mission that it is important for me -it is earlier than Prospress and even Woocommerce.
And cooperate with the Automattic team to further promote Woocommerce. When did you build your first Woocommerce store?
I established my first test Woocommerce store in 2011. This is the first site of love.
What do you like the most open source software?
There is only one? I like it without permission. Anyone and anywhere can access the freely released open source software as long as they have enough perseverance, and use it to do something surprising. For projects like Wookommerce, this means that anyone in any place can create a better future for themselves without a permission without a traditional watchman (such as educational institutions or proprietary software suppliers).
I also like to carry out cooperation around the open source. This is a revolutionary model that allows the development of something publicly. Anyone can see, contribute or just criticize its progress. When you do it for ten years, it is easy to forget thisHow amazing. Do you have any suggestions for the aggressive WooCommerce expansion developers?
Start with a problem that no one else solves. Create a solution for this issue that you will be able to find users.
If you want to find users quickly and avoid marketing, I also suggest that you apply for distributing your extension through woocommerce.com. In the early days when I was an independent developer, its influence and marketing helped me very much.
Tell us how AutomateWoo and Robot Ninja are produced.
The robot ninja comes from two things:
Internal needs to be complicated to the transportation test of subscribing products; and
We conducted the Woocommerce community A survey found that 77% of the owners regularly tested their checkout manually.
- Because of the first thing, we know that the second thing can be solved. This is not easy, but we have two great people -Jason and Matt — very hard to come up with things that can be connected to almost any store, and run a set of pre -built simulated mouse clicks and keyboard input input Let’s test the woocommerce check out.
Automatewoo has a completely different origin story. Dan worked in an agency, and he found that he created a similar code to achieve the same goals for the Woocommerce store, such as sending subsequent emails according to a specific timetable or event. He realized that local tools based on events, rules, and automatic execution of common tasks can help store owners save time and increase sales. AutomateWoo and DAN joined Prospress in 2018 to help the team behind the product. You all like to tell stories -good one. So what is
Small World
? I am very happy to ask! This is one of the most proud things I created in Prospress. In the early days of PROSPRESS, we explored several different types of content for our blog. Our favorite is the story of sharing Woocommerce entrepreneurs. We finally heard some of their opinions and made a small book, which provided the owner with a lotinspiration. This book is called Small Woold . After its development, we decided to transfer all our interviews to a special blog of the same name.
The acquisition takes time and energy. How will you spend the second holiday? My children will let me sleep soon!
