The short history of our lucky winners and their participating works
Kevin began to use WordPress 10 years ago. During the disciples of media designers, the theme of development and design for small companies’ websites. He also attended a party in Burger and Berlin to share his experience and improve front -end development and user experience design skills. In 2013, he discovered Woocommerce while developing a small food delivery store for a Italian restaurant in Gardelegen in his hometown. In recent years, he has collected customer feedback and knowledge about B2C business, and developed a second online store for a Vietnamese restaurant in 2016. As part of the development process of large online store development in the automotive, telephone and clothing industry, he came into contact with e -commerce platforms such as Hybris Sap, Typo3 Multishop and Shopify, so he had the opportunity to compare. In his opinion: other platforms are also good, but there is no e -commerce platform like WooCommerce on WordPress to combine simple and powerful open source communities.
Kevin and from the co -founder Eric, the co -founder of Kevin and from, recently launched Canvasco’s online store -including From concept to design to the entire back -end and front -end development -and complete the project within 6 months.
Efforts were rewarded: In the first two weeks of the release, the conversion rate doubled, and many customers ordered the products of products were more extensive than before.
The main goal of re -release is to improve/increase sales, but the secondary goal is to create user -friendly, fresh, modern, and responsive design. The previous store was chaotic and not very intuitive. HeWe need to introduce more than 1,400 products in 32 different products categories from an old Typo3 online store , and a large number of existing customer accounts and English, German, French, Spanish and Italian multi -language content Essence In the end, but not the most important point is to build a new \”package configuration\” challenge.

Why choose woocommerce?
Kevin lists the 11 reasons why they choose WoOOCOMMERCE:
It is open source: the free version has very professional functions, each store needs to be within its conventional range within its conventional range There is no need for any advanced plug -in.
It has a large open community composed of developers and users, which provides good support and exchanges with experience and solutions.
There are many well -coded WooCommerce high -level plug -in and free plug -ins, which can save your time to focus on really important tasks.
(++) Woocommerce itself is built on WordPress, and WordPress also has a huge open source community, and there are many plug -in to use.
It is self -host. You can also choose the hosting plan from 1,000 custody companies.
It is easy to maintain and configure at the back end. The menu and interface structure are good, and conventional functions should provide everything you need to get started.
Many common payment APIs are easy to migrate within a few minutes, such as PayPal and Stripe for credit card payment, which are highly recommended!
Great: Multi -language content has good free plug -ins. We used QtranslateX.
The WooCommerce team also provides official development plug -ins, which are used to migrate content (import and export automation) through CSV, XLS, and JSON. It runs very well and allows us to avoid sleeping nights.
The previous understanding of WordPress made debugging and quickly writing my own expansion.
Woocommerce and WordPress itself are often updated, which makes them safe and reliable to you and your customers.
Use of kevinImportant techniques built by WordPress and WooCommerce
Always choose a custody (managed) custody solution for your online store: Especially if you lack energy and time to handle unknown server/mail errors and traffic peak peaks Maintenance. The stop time and server problems affect the conversion.
Select WOOCOMMERCE with WordPress -it can do anything. There are already solutions for most problems that have occurred when building Canvasco.
Be careful to use the plug -in. Not every plugin is optimized. In Germany, we said: Too many developers are \”too salty.\”
Control the script style and fonts loaded by wordpress. There are some good ways to discharge unnecessary resources into the queue to eventually reduce the HTTP request.
Let your functions work first! Don’t waste time in unnecessary models, adjustments and fine -tuning at the beginning
When you encounter problems or transfer to the next task, please consult the community and other developers who are high -end support services. After collecting your first feedback, I will return to the problem later.
Create backup as much as possible!
Develop a good workflow for your code deployment and create a flexible infrastructure to deliver your version to the client. Use git-flow to deploy and use multiple test examples to display your progress.
Maintain the attractiveness of customer journey and guide customers with good design. Online shopping is storytelling.
Working with your customers, because they know their own brand most
