You may have heard that the first time in the United States WordCamp was recently held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although there were many local WordCamps in the past, this was the first WordCamps specified in the United States.

As its name, WCUS attracted participants from all over the country, and even some participants from all over the world. This party consists of nearly 2,000 participants, volunteers and sponsors. We are very happy to become a member of these three groups.
Wordcamp US is an explosion for those who succeed in us. We have a rare opportunity to sponsor this new event, talk to dozens of Woocommerce customers, and listen to their wonderful stories. Some of us voluntarily served as an event staff. A member of our group talked about e -commerce. We rolled up T -shirts until our hands were numb. Some of us even boarded local news!
The following is a detailed introduction on what happened on the first WCUS. Some of our favorite things on weekends.
Who, where and where: WCUS’s logistics

Before WCUS was established, San Francisco Wordcamp was an unofficial \”American\” WordCamp. It was the first Wordcamp site in 2006, organized by Matt Mullenweg, co -founder of WordPress, and provided the first [12 123] Word status
address. This year, the 10th annual SOTW was delivered to WCUS, and this trend is expected to continue.

It is expected that as many as 2,000 people will participate in WCUS from Friday to Saturday, which is the main day of the event. However, there are three other important days on the schedule:The community summit on Wednesday and Thursday, the WordPress community members gathered together to discuss and take action on important themes (including volunteer services, behaviors, behaviors Student and WordPress.tv were redesigned), and
Sunday activity day, the contributor of WordPress submitted patch, translation, documentation, and so on.
Between Wednesday and Sunday, Philadelphia must be a busy five days!
Why do we want to be there
We have many reasons to have members of the WOO team in WCUS. The first, maybe the most obvious reason: we like WordPress! The first official national activity aims to celebrate the open source platform of we all learn, contribute and build products from it?

Of course, this will natural One of the sponsors of the event. Wordcamps is mainly paid by sponsors; the WordPress community aims to maintain lower ticket costs ($ 40 or less), but recruit sponsors to pay venue costs, participants lunch costs, (free but hard work) volunteers and organizations are volunteers and organizations. The supplies of the person and so on. In exchange for sponsorship, we got a cute booth space and had the opportunity to chat with customers throughout the weekend. is one of the biggest gains of this event: [[[[[[[[[[[ 123] Participating in WCUS gives us a chance to have a variety of kindsPeople talk
. We talked with the happy Woocommerce users, and they just wanted to know what would happen next. We heard from the successful shop owner that they just wanted to share their stories. We explained the benefits of Woocommerce to those who have never used Woocommerce before.
WCUS full of WordPress users, developers and enthusiasts full of various skills levels, developers, developers, and enthusiasts, and enthusiasts, and enthusiasts, and enthusiasts, and enthusiasts, and enthusiasts. They come to learn and teach, help and get help. Every time we pass by, how busy seeing the happiness bar is great. It is great. I heard so many issues about WordPress, Woocommerce and WordPress e -commerce. In short, this is an incredible experience. We can’t miss it.

Some behind -the -scenes highlights on the weekend
Wow! #WCUS American Wordcamp (@Wordcampus) photos releasedThis is also with It doesn’t mean that all our time we spend in Philadelphia are constantly talking about the benefits of Woocommerce. We also played very happily.
Many WCUS sponsors are giving brand stolen goods, all of which are proven to be very popular. Godaddy’s WAPUU challenge coin is very sought -after (if you have a black coin, shout, you are lucky ducks!), But we also heard a lot of cheers and praise about our own gifts.
We have new WOO stickers on hand, and these WCUS exclusive T -shirts, which are printed with happy Hiro and his own small banner:
We presented it These limited edition T -shirts. The most common praise? \”They are so soft!\” Due to some clever ideas of the organizer, we also attract tourists by giving away chocolate. Because when there is a good free kiss,Who can keep angry with their painful feet?

Outside the event, we stroll on the streets of Philadelphia and try to avoid (many) trouble. We fill the stomach with authentic snacks, enjoy dinner and drinks in a local bar, and enjoy the bowling ball and giant connection four after the official party. We also strolled in Christmas villages, which was quite busy. I am glad to see that the non -Pennsylvanians responded to all the incidents that happened in the local area … and corrected them to \”LankaiThe pronunciation of cities such as Ste \”.

announced that on December 5, 2015, it was Philadelphia City, Philadelphia City. WordPress Day . Wow! December 5, 2015 became the WordPress day of Fei City. It is important to provide support for 25% of the Internet, but there is a formal day.
]It is difficult to condense all the words we experienced and learned in Wordcamp us. We have gained different things from this).
For my personal concern, I found that a one -to -one communication with the WoOOCOMMERCE users who came to our booth are definite Value. Whether they just say \”I am using WOO, I like it\”, they show us that their stores are seeking suggestions about making them better expansion and have the opportunity to participate in-people. I understand the use of WOO and who is using it.
I think we have also learned the problem solutions from the CCP. We will encounter a problem from time to time. Mark another ninja to answer. Listening to these response is very educational, just like the possibility of discussing each other (because there are usually one way to complete something).
Finally, we all from with WordPress users, developers and enthusiastsI have learned a lot of things with each other. We heard suggestions on new extensions, Woocommerce improvements, or we might want to study services. We listened to feedback on our products. We talked to new users. They wanted to know whether something is feasible and how to make these things easier to find. Feedback is crucial, we do not always get feedback on the Internet -but in front of people, these words sometimes are easier to flow.
WCUS provides us with great value and provides a lot of learning opportunities for each ninja. But in addition,
it deepen our love for WordPress and its community, making us more committed to doing what we do
.
Interested in wordpress? There are many reasons to find WordCamp We have mentioned the value of WordCamps many times before, but after WCUS, it is worth reiterating. If you have never been to -or haven’t you been for a while -now to the Wordcamp Central site. Whether you just want to learn, you are keen on voluntary services, or even sponsoring, Wordcamps is worth it in many ways .
If you are a developer, please do not avoid Wordcamps -they bring you a lot of benefits. Obviously, you can learn, but the contribution day also gives you the opportunity to give back WordPress directly. Whether your advantage is more about wrong repair or documentation, you need and welcome.
